For me, my primary interest is about the Rain Water Harvesting System (RHS).
I have been in United States for almost 5 weeks. In the past few weeks, what impressed me the most is the RAIN GARDEN which i saw while i was biking around the Constitution Avenue in the Washington D.C. city. Installing rain graden , instead of using more traditional methods of managing stormwater, is one great way to meet the habitat's goal of building green and promoting the low impact lifestyles.
In Malaysia, we are bleassed with abundant of rainfall throughout the year and the average rainfall in Malaysia is around 3000mm per year. It is very suitable for rainwater harvesting in Malaysia,
Thus, the personal future vision for SUSI is that whithin 5 to 10 years, Malaysia can fully make use of this free asset - rainwater as an alternative water supply by instaliing rainwater harvesting system in all the large building in Malaysia and also practice rain garden as a green infrastructure in the future.
